Overview

Mission

The mission of VROOM is to offer a user-friendly platform that connects customers with a wide range of restaurants across Kuwait, facilitating convenient meal ordering and delivery services.

Goals

  • User Convenience: Enable users to effortlessly browse menus, place orders, and receive meals at their preferred locations.

  • Restaurant Collaboration: Partner with diverse restaurants to provide a variety of cuisines and dining options.

  • Efficient Delivery: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders to enhance customer satisfaction.

Challenge

Many individuals, due to demanding work schedules or other commitments, find it challenging to prepare meals at home or dine out. This creates a need for a reliable service that can deliver quality meals promptly to their locations.

Sollution

To address this challenge, VROOM developed a mobile application that allows users to order food conveniently. The design process included:

  • Industry Benchmarking: Researching top food delivery apps to understand value propositions, interaction flows, and features, tailoring VROOM to meet global user expectations.

  • User Personas: Identifying key user groups—Super Admins, Restaurants, End Users, and Delivery Drivers—to ensure the app meets the needs of all stakeholders.

  • Design Process: Creating sitemaps, wireframes, and UI designs to develop an intuitive and efficient user interface.

  • Technology Integration: Utilizing tools like Figma for design and Trello for project management to streamline development and collaboration.

By focusing on these areas, VROOM successfully launched a platform that simplifies the meal ordering and delivery process, catering to the needs of busy individuals in Kuwait.

Personas

The information collected from the initial documents received from the client was condensed and consolidated into 4 personas/user groups.

Super Admins would be Vroom employees operating from the portal.

They would be in charge of the restaurants onboarding to the portal, making sure there are no issues with orders and other business related issues, and responsible of delivery drivers as they would be providing the drivers to the restaurants.

Restaurants (Portal)

Restaurants will operate from the portal and use it to add/remove menu items, receive orders, and accept or reject them.

The information collected from the initial documents received from the client was condensed and consolidated into 4 personas/user groups.

Sitemaps

After the personas, we focused on the sitemaps to understand the users’ journeys on the platforms, and to have a clear picture to be on the same page with everyone, including the clients and the dev team.

Driver UI

Driver UI

Once we received approval for the sitemaps, we started working on the wireframes to establish the basic structure of the pages before visual design and content is added.

We made sure the client and the developers are included in this process early on to be aligned with the layout structure.

After all the wireframes were approved, we went ahead with the UI design.
